Plexxcon is delivering a purpose-built helicopter hangar for GuyKat Investments at Sunshine Coast Airport, under a Design and Construct contract.

The 1,390m² facility comprises a structural steel hangar with a mezzanine level housing offices, supported by full civil site preparation, electrical and hydraulic services, internal base building fit-out, and external landscaping.

Located within one of Queensland’s fastest-growing aviation precincts, the project sits alongside the airport’s $170 million terminal expansion, reinforcing Sunshine Coast Airport’s role as a key South-East Queensland aviation hub.

The D&C delivery model enabled Plexxcon to lead an integrated approach across design, stakeholder coordination, and construction streamlining the path from concept to a fully operational, modern aviation asset that meets GuyKat’s operational requirements and supports the airport’s continued growth.
