Plexxcon completed concrete cancer remediation across multiple pool-side and street-side balconies at Drift Palm Cove in Cairns, wrapping up on site in early July after 20 weeks. Works included removal of existing concrete hobs, treatment and repair of corroded steel reinforcement, application of waterproof membrane to slab edges, retiling/decking reinstatement, and reconnection of balustrade posts to meet current safety standards — all delivered with structural engineer sign-off at each stage.

The project was delivered within a fully operational apartment complex, with works carried out on occupied balconies and scaffolding erected through communal areas including the pool. The team worked closely with residents and building management throughout, ensuring works progressed safely and with minimal disruption to day-to-day life on site.
