Plexxcon were engaged under a lump sum contract to replace the aged cold room and freezer rooms within the science building at the Griffith University Nathan
Campus.

Work was carried out within a fully operational laboratory environment on the third level of the building, with active teaching and research spaces. Plexxcon carefully segregated the work space and sealed for all contaminants due to the nature of the masonry demolition works required. Materials had to be transported via lifts and stairways, and concrete wheelbarrowed through the laboratory and areas for the new floors.

All works were carried out on schedule without incident, and all services interruptions were carefully planned throughout the project. On completion, the laboratory space was re-certified by the third-party auditor, and handover achieved ahead of program.
