Plexxcon is proud to have recently handed over the brick façade remediation works at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus. Our scope included the removal and replacement of brickwork to install new structural support lintels on the Gehrmann Building, along with the installation of new Helifix ties to secure the brick facade for the long term.

While the remediation itself is critical, one of the most important aspects of this project is working seamlessly with the building’s operations team. With a delicate MRI machine in use within the building, careful planning and strict safety measures are essential to ensure the facility remains fully operational throughout the works.
